Tips and tricks for Beats Fit Pro

Gestures:  Beats Fit Pro has a single button that the user can skip, rewind, pause or play music. One press on the Beats logo on the earphone pauses or starts the music, two presses forward, three presses backward, and a longer press switches between Noise Canceling and Ambient mode.

Active Noise Cancellation: Beats Fit pro features Active Noise Cancellation, meaning you can isolate virtually any external sound, so you only hear what comes from your headphones. To activate it, give a long press on one of the phone’s sides. You can activate it from Control Center on your iPhone by pressing the volume bar with Beats Fit Pro connected, then tapping “Noise Cancelling.”

Ambient Mode: Another feature of the headphones is Ambient Mode which allows external sound to pass through the headphones more easily. This mode is ideal for walking down the street, hearing the station’s name on the subway, or exercising. To activate it, press one side of the headphones for a few seconds or do the same thing in Control Center on the iPhone.

Change Beats Fit Pro gestures:  if you don’t want to leave both sides of the earphone with the one long press to switch between Noise canceling/ambient mode, go to “Settings,” “Bluetooth,” and tap the “i” on the product with them in the ear. You can switch one side to “Siri” instead of “Noise Control” or let one side switch between canceling and this off mode or ambient or off mode.

Tip Fit Test:  Want to know how effective Beats Fit Pro’s noise cancellation is in your ears? In “Settings,” “Bluetooth,” and in the “i” of the headphones, go to “Test Fit Tips.” This option tests whether the product is properly isolating the ambient music. Just keep both earphones in your ear; if something is wrong, the iPhone will warn you that you may need to change one of the ends to a smaller or larger one.

Your Beats Fit Pro name:  By default, Beats Fit Pro will call “Beats Fit Pro by [Apple ID name].” In “Settings,” “Bluetooth,” and in the “i” of the product, you can change the name of the product. Use creativity.

Switch Microphone:  By default, Beats Fit Pro automatically detects which microphone to use. If you always use a headset on one side or want to save battery (since it is the right that usually uses up more battery, you can choose which side you want it to hear you in the headset settings.

Play/Pause:  this tip is the most basic but also the best: if someone wants to talk to you and you have your headphones on, take one out of your ear, and the music or video will automatically pause. When you put it back in your ear, the headphones play automatically.

From the Control Center, tap the AirPlay button and “Share Audio.” Open the other AirPods and then tap connect. Opening the other AirPods near an iPhone already playing music will also suggest sharing audio.

Read Notifications:  Also, in iOS 13, it is possible to ask Siri to read your messages as soon as they arrive. The function is only available in the Messages app, and you can reply. In “Settings” and “Siri & Search,” tap on “Read Messages” and activate the function.

So Siri:  With Beats headphones, just like the AirPods 3, all you need to do is call your assistant to place an order.

Switch from iPhone to Apple TV:  On Apple TV, you need to go to “Settings,” “Remote Controls and Devices,” and “Bluetooth” and then select your Beats Fit Pro.

Switch from iPhone to iPad or Mac:  Starting with iOS 14, you can smart switch from Beats Fit Pro. If you are watching a video on an iPad and you touch iPhone, the headset automatically switches to mobile.
